Event Description

The Nuts and Bolts meeting process resumes for 2011!

At our monthly nuts and bolts meeting we will work out organizational details. A meeting that supports the growth of the transition movement, establishing policies on how we connect to other organizations, how we keep getting the word out etc.

The agenda of this meeting will be to clarify our decision making process as a focus group and set meeting processes. After this meeting these nuts and bolts meetings will help us run Transition Milwaukee. We will make further decisions about our structure and how we best support our mission working with groups, supporting actions etc.

All members of Transition Milwaukee are welcome to these meetings. We ask that you either read the Transition Handbook by Rob Hopkins or are in the process of reading it or a closely related book or other form of study. ( Plan C, studying permaculture... ) Come ready to jump in!

Comment by Michael W. Pettit on January 12, 2011 at 6:01pm: Actually, the only reason I know of for the change is because of the current location- WSRC. We wanted to stick with the second Tues. of every month, but discovered that this will always conflict with the monthly RNA meeting, also now held at WSRC. The only way to switch back to Tuesdays would be to pick a different Tuesday, or a different location. Either one is an option yet to be explored.

I believe we are alternating the time so that we can include people with different schedules. We will move it back to Tuesday's sometime in the future. Sorry you can't join us!
