Film and discussion
This documentary follows an Oglala Lakota man’s struggles and triumphs as he attempts to reclaim his health by adopting a traditional Indigenous diet centered on foods such as buffalo, along with regular exercise. As we follow Beau LeBeau’s story, we’ll learn how the problems of obesity that are common in our society are especially impacting the health of Native Americans. We’ll also learn what he finds out about what it takes to change one’s habits.
