Event Description

Please join us for a weekend (or a day, or a few hours) of fruity fun, as we plant a 2-acre mixed fruit orchard on our permaculture-based farm.

This will be a chance to get your hands dirty and have a lot of fun while learning about less common fruits like juneberry, seaberry, elderberry, aronia, quince, currants, gooseberries, and goumi, that can be grown organically with far fewer inputs than more common fruits like apples and  pears.

Camping will be available on the farm, and we'll enjoy bonfires in the evenings. Bring your strong back (but fear not, we're enlisting mechanical assistance for digging), food for yourself and/or to share, a pair of work gloves, a shovel if possible, and camping gear if you plan to spend the night. (Campers are welcome to arrive Friday afternoon or evening.)

Families welcome!

All helpers will be added to our VIP (Very Important Pickers) list. This means that once the plants start bearing fruit, you'll be the first people we invite out to share the harvest. We'll also give a pair of hazelnut bushes to anyone who helps for a full day!

Please RSVP to Nicole at wildabundancefarm(at)gmail
.com, and I'll send you directions.
