Event Description

Whether you are new to or already familiar with the Transition Initiative, we invite you to come to the monthly Hub meetings. An introduction to Transition Milwaukee for newcomers starts at 6:30pm and the Hub meeting starts at 7.

This month we will be showing "What Time Is It" -- the 2014 talk given by Dr. Robert Gilman's to groups at Findhorn and elsewhere. He describes the -- sometimes surprising -- developments which precipitated two big shifts in human culture, first from tribalism into an age of cities and empires and then to the current shift with roots in the Renaissance era. Dr. Gilman provides an optimistic and realistic long view of humanity's situation and draws inspiration for our culture from successful strategies in nature.

Please join the gathering on Monday, January 26th if you can or enjoy the talk on the Context Institute's website:

Transition initiatives are part of an international movement to address the challenges of climate change and peak oil. Join us as we seek to rebuild local resilience and self-reliance through creating and promoting community projects.
