At the 6/22/09 meeting we discussed the possibility of becoming an "official" Transition Initiative, perhaps the first in the state. One of the requirements is for at least two members of the "core team" to attend Training for Transition (T4T). I've spoken recently with our region's T4T Trainer, Bill Wilson, and he's happy to come to the region to do a training as soon as there is sufficient interest.
T4T is a 2-day (typically 9am to 5pm) training experience. Read a more detailed description here
. The cost to participate is usually around $200-$250 per person, which includes lunch on both days. The final cost depends on the number of registrants and whether the group is able to do some fundraising to reduce costs.
If we bring a training session to Southern Wisconsin (Milwaukee-Jefferson-Madison area), would you likely participate?
Please post responses here so we can get a feel for whether we have enough interest to schedule a training session.
