I have volunteered to be the Liaison between Transition Milwaukee and Milwaukee Area Time Exchange. I'm out of town for most of the next two months, but starting next year I am looking forward to nurturing the relevance that each group has for the other.

signed up....get involved.

By being signed up, you are now involved! All the timebank needs from you is the filled out form and for you to go through the training.

After that, you post what you would like to have done, and what you can offer others.

I'm going to need people involved who can work their media contact lists once the site is live, people who can work with their local citizens to sign up and use the software, people who can do the background checks and people who can take the routed voicemails and respond to them.

And one person "from the community" to sign up to be on the Board of Directors.

This is being done on the shoe-string-y-ist of budgets (aka we don't have the 1/4 of a million in grants that Dane county has had) so it needs bodies to do some of the work. Once it demonstrates it can work (within the context of our limited budget of time) - someone can work the grant writing angle like Dane county.

I'd like to see it as a community building effort - so can the members of transitionmilwaukee.ning.com step up to the task?
