I'm pretty new to Milwaukee, so I'll just start with a basic question -- where does one recycle batteries? I've asked MMSD, in a couple of ways, and received unsatisfactory answers so far. If there isn't a good answer, then this issue clearly needs to be discussed at other levels of government. Of course we need less use of batteries in the first place, but that's another issue...

Hi Nicole, I ran into some obstacles and haven't pursued any further. One thing I have done in the interim is organize a garden tour with some fellow Riverwesters. We had our first one last weekend and it was really fun. I'm leaning now towards having an activity like that rather than a movie. Or maybe we could do something to promote what Sura is doing with local exchange. For example, we could have a one day exchange event. Mainly, I would like to put it to the Riverwest group to reevaluate what we'd like to do. Hey Riverwesters!! what say yee? I'm hoping more of us will come to the Transition meetings so we can discuss further.
