Community Composting

Background

We need clean soil in the city for gardens, and we need LOTS of it. We've been discussing options for community composting here and in other local e-groups. This is a topic worthy of much exploration.

The Victory Garden Initiative and Community Growers has initiated discussions with several organic matter sources. We have partnered with All Peoples' church. We are looking for places to get organic matter. Eventually we hope to take this to the political level (ie leaf collection) but for now we are keeping it smaller than this. If anyone is interested in helping, learning, or has advise let me know.
