Paul Krepel's Rainwater Crypt

Paul removed about 20 wheelbarrows of dirt to create a subsurface space for the 275 gallon containers this fall. The dirt was distributed around the perimeter of his house to help water run away from the foundation to prevent leaks in the basement in large storms. He is also using the dirt to create a round garden/fountain in the center of the back yard.
Kent Borden and Chris Terbrueggen, members of the Water Working Group, delivered two 275 gallon containers to Paul Krepel, a Bayview resident. Chris helped Paul finish digging out the sub-surface hole for three containers on Oct. 30. Upon completion, this catchment system will hold 825 gallons of rainwater.

Fabulous! Nice work, guys. Are you using the Timebank to earn hours for these projects?
