Profile Information

Why are you interested in the Transition movement?
Been very interested in the Transition movement for 5 years or so. Believe strongly in its power to move communities into a more stable and secure situation in regard to natural resources, and believe very strongly in the community action aspect of the movement. Since the Federal government seems incapable of action, I think community groups need to take the lead for change.
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I'm looking to become involved. I have no current involvement besides my own interest
What skills, talents, and resources do you bring to the Transition movement?
I bring energy, communication skills, and dedication. I have experience working as a handy-man and maintenance worker through college, good communications skills through 4 years of undergrad history and 2 years of graduate history education, and knowledge of political systems through 4 years of undergraduate study in political science. I think most importantly, I care deeply about Milwaukee and Wisconsin and would like to do something to help inspire change.
Which topics within Transition most interest you, and what are you most interested in getting out of your involvement in the Transition Movement?
My favorite topics within Transition are sustainable/green housing and freshwater issues. I am most interested in Transition Milwaukee because it offers an opportunity to meet and work with like minded individuals towards a common goal of making Milwaukee a better place to live.
Organizations you belong to that might collaborate with Transition
Currently none. I recently moved back to Milwaukee from Madison after graduating college.
