Why are you interested in the Transition movement?
I have heard about various projects that appear to be part of the transition movement (Victory Gardens, Community Composting etc.) but didn't know they are part of a larger whole. I am interested because I want to learn more about how I can be a better human on the earth.
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I garden, compost, preserve, cook, try to educate when I can about food and eating better.
What skills, talents, and resources do you bring to the Transition movement?
Above listed personal projects. I am a teacher who has long seen the need to educate teens (especially teen moms) about the importance of eating well. I would like to help people learn about the joy of growing food and feeling responsible for their own educations and community. I can garden, cook, teach, and write.
Which topics within Transition most interest you, and what are you most interested in getting out of your involvement in the Transition Movement?
As mentioned above, I am interested in growing, preparing and preserving food. I just want to share my talents for a greater good.
Organizations you belong to that might collaborate with Transition
None, really.
