Why are you interested in the Transition movement?
Interested in organizing and evaluating preparation of a proposal for the EPA Grant? Any interest? http://www.epa.gov/reg5rcra/wptdiv/solidwaste/funding.htm

As a citizen of Milwaukee I see many underutilized spaces, and hope that this can change, and want to take action to help make that change.
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Recently introduced through Alderman Murphy's email notification;
attended meeting week of 3/22;
preparing DPW permit application for victory garden at 54th & McKinley, and looking forward to the victory garden;

Interested in a Transition program for disconnecting downspouts too

Local community gardens in vacant parcels; for wild flowers, pilot compost programs to reduce hauling and tipping fees, water management for storm water in combined sewer areas...

Grant funding is provided to government agencies and non-profit organizations to promote waste reduction and the safe and effective management of solid waste.
