Bikes@Work Planning Meeting at Urban Ecology Center (Park Pl)

April 23, 2011 from 2pm to 3:30pm
It's time to tighten up the details of the event, which is coming up fast!  For this meeting we'll get promotion moving along as well as soliciting volunteer help.  The layout of the event has mostly been completed.  Some informational signage is another topic to cover.  Anyone with experience in marketing, promotion, or signage is most welcome.

Bikes@Work Planning Meeting at Urban Ecology Center

March 20, 2011 from 1:30pm to 3pm
Come help with the ongoing planning for the June 11th Bikes@Work event.  We have a lot already setup but could use your creativity and efforts to help TM pull it off.  We've already signed up bike shops, messengers, rickshaws, and commuters (for our "Commuter Help Desk") but we have other needs including publicity.

"This is a great idea, Sarah.  If you (or anyone else reading this) knows someone either already doing this or would like to create some prototypes, it would be great to display them to spur attendee creativity."

Mark, I'm doing bike advocacy in Janesville starting with Bike to Work Week, and I already have ideas about approaching this community's blue collar population with appropriate encouragement. Biking isn't all about ritzy road bikes and spandex and this community needs some change, fast. I really would like to touch base with you at some point.

I did add the M! We have the poster, too. Sometimes we joke that it should say "Milwaukee Feeds & Supplies Itself!" Wouldn't that be a great goal? Anyway, in your case, the M really works!

Let me know if you need any help editing a photo to add to your profile. I can't add it for you (it must be saved on your hard drive) but can guide you through the steps, and can crop photos.
