Profile Information

Why are you interested in the Transition movement?
I meet with a group of people every Tuesday. We seem to be doing many of the the same things that Transition Milwaukee is doing. We have a community garden plot, many bicyclers, people who are self-educating about many aspects of surviving the oil dissent and I have been to a Transition Town Training and want to share about it with these folks who are mostly between the ages of 16 and 22.
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I try to attend events held by Transition Milwaukee to get ideas for our group in West Bend. I plan to get further training at the upcoming Transition Town online training. I attended the Delafield 2 Day Training course. I own a 65 acre farm where I have been doing informal permaculture for years.
What skills, talents, and resources do you bring to the Transition movement?
I know a fair amount about native species fauna. I can write fairly well and I write fiction. I am the Co-ordinator for the Great Lakes Earth Institute. I know about horses although I have never farmed with them. I have a few connections and I am an pretty good idea person.
Which topics within Transition most interest you, and what are you most interested in getting out of your involvement in the Transition Movement?
Permaculture is at the top of my interest list.
Organizations you belong to that might collaborate with Transition
R.E.C.A.L.L. ,The Tuesday Group. West Bend Community Gardens. Maybe Washington County 4-H. Movies that Matter. Great Lakes Earth Institute. Riveredge Nature Center. Goddesses of SE Wisconsin.
