Why are you interested in the Transition movement?
I enjoy working on natural farming ideas and am implementing some of them on a farm I currently work at. I am always looking to learn more..
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I haven't been involved yet...
What skills, talents, and resources do you bring to the Transition movement?
I am a conservation and environmental science major at UW Milwaukee and recently completed a permaculture course there. I am working on an independent studies project to implement large raised beds for agriculture on farm and hope to do some terracing as well.
Which topics within Transition most interest you, and what are you most interested in getting out of your involvement in the Transition Movement?
Just learning more in general and helping out how ever I can.
Organizations you belong to that might collaborate with Transition
I work for an organic farm and will be working with one of the board members' land who is very interested in permaculture.

Location: Bay View Library

Time: 6:00pm

Witness for Peace is organizing a People-to-People licensed trip that will allow U.S. citizens to legally travel to Cuba. This trip is designed for people who are interested on learning about the Cuban people, their education programs, political and social history and their historical and fascinating colonial landmarks. Participants will gain insights into Cuba’s life-long education; primary, secondary and universities. People will also be able to stroll through World Heritage cities and experience the rich heritage of music and dance that Cuba is renowned for.           http://www.witnessforpeace.org/

 

Trip is for Sept 14 through 24, 2014. Deposit due to apply is July 14th 2014
