The film opens with a quote: "Community is the secret ingredient in sustainability."  Mandy Creighton and Ryan Mlynarczyk, after a stint in the Peace Corps in the 90s, came back from Central America to the US bound to hold on to the lessons of simplicity and community they'd learned.  But they felt it slipslide away, as it does, when you start building careers instead. . .But they dug deep.
