Milwaukee River Hike at At the end of Chambers street. If you don't see anyone there, keep heading east to the River's edge. From there, we'll head north.

The Milwaukee River has a unique history and is home to many trees, plants and wildlife. It's also in the process of undergoing major changes for the good. Come and experience a hike on the trails and learn about the variety of plants and animals, some of the current challenges and uses, water quality and aquatic life, and maybe a bit of the history of our beautiful river. I'm on the TM list, and have followed the activities of many members for the last several years.
I have not had an opportunity to participate in many of the intriguing and inviting activities sponsored or coordinated by members. But I wanted to learn more about the River Advocates because the River provides so many opportunities to spark positive integration and growth of urban life (transportation, environment, art, commerce, health, etc.).
My life is not much my own for the next month or so (City budget season).
But I would like to find out more about what you envision for the River Advocates and perhaps we can exchange info on the net until we have an opportunity to share tea and talk. Are there specific policy/legislative initiatives that you are looking at? City, County, State, Federal, International?
