Our monthly hub meeting is an opportunity to meet in person to discuss Transition-based initiatives aimed at raising awareness about climate change and peak oil. All are welcome - those new and familiar with the framework. We hope to see you there! Note: 6:30-7 is time for networking; meeting will begin promptly at 7.
All are welcomed -- those new to and familiar with Transition Milwaukee -- to join us as we plan and work on "visible manifestations" for how Milwaukee can beautifully and triumphantly combat the challenges of climate change and peak oil. Come give an update on the sustainability projects you've been involved with or learn about others and find where you can plug in!
Why are you interested in the Transition movement?
Building a community of those sensitive beings aware of the current environmental, philosophical, spiritual and economical
crisis we on this planet are currently in , at least those 'modern' societies which have created the current condition.
We need to shift to a post-modern culture which uses the best in sustainable thinking and synthesize that with the pereneniel wisdom of earlier cultures which lived in a more harmonius relationship with this earth which is one body[Gaia].
I'm interested in Gardening-Floral and vegetable, nature writing, literature , self-actualization, celebration , spirituality, science, and the awareness this all is mystery.
An unapologetic member of the 60's hippie generation that's discovering how to live a creative life now.
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Attend meeting occasionally and live my beliefs.
What skills, talents, and resources do you bring to the Transition movement?
Self entrepeneur. Degrees in Environmental studies and Landscape Horticulture. Community organizer, workshop facilitator, Conference organizer among other adventures.
