Seriously, not kidding, but I'm not sure why their grid is having issues. At the Solar Decade conference this year, there was an interesting keynote presentation by Julie Blunden on utility-scale solar power. Even in the US, we doubled our solar capacity last year - from 2GW to 4GW. That's gigawatts: 1,000,000,000 Watts. Germany had really, really good incentives and their solar industry took off; it's caused supply issues as well due to the high demand for panels. SunPower, who Julie works for, actually commissioned with...I think it was an LCD manufacturer, to retrofit their facility and build an additional factory to make panels for their company to avoid the supply problems. It blew me away, too. She said that if things keep going in the direction they're headed, they should be able to generate solar power for almost the same cost as peak-rate coal in 5-10 years.
